A rainy trip to Barcelona, Spain

It's always sunny in Barcelona ... right? When we visited in April we were unlucky enough to experience a storm that lasted for two days and ended the moment we stepped in the airport to head home. We did have one sunny afternoon to frolic on the beach and see some spectacular Catalan architecture though!

If there was one thing we enjoyed most about Barcelona, except the weather, it was the food! The tapas bar Sensi Bistro was a real highlight, if find yourself in the city definitely visit this cosy restaurant and you will not be disappointed!

The city's attractions were very busy and a little on the expensive side, particularly when it came to seeing Gaudi's masterpieces which you had to pay for separately if you wanted to take a look inside. If the sun is shining Barcelona is a fantastic place to stroll around and enjoy the beautiful city for free!
